This makes it all the more important to establish transparent rules regarding who is authorized to view and edit which information, and how that information is protected against loss, misuse, or unintended changes.

As a SaaS and service company, we at Greatcontent take this responsibility extremely seriously. Our structured information security management system (ISMS) defines the responsibilities, processes, and protective measures, while our teams systematically assess risks, act proactively, and review the effectiveness of all our measures on a regular basis.

ISO 27001:2022 certification

We are currently applying for ISO 27001:2022 certification, the globally recognized standard for professional information security management. An independent auditor is reviewing whether our ISMS meets all the requirements of the standard, namely:

Ongoing risk management:

Potential risks are assessed and addressed not only on a case-by-case basis, but also through systematic change management.

Effectiveness assessment of security measures:

Our security concept combines both technical and organizational measures. Our quality management system ensures that the effectiveness of these measures continues to be evaluated and improved beyond their implementation.

Staff security training:

As information security is a team effort, we provide regular training for our employees and are currently working with the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten to develop an innovative training format that also extends to our external specialists.

GDPR-compliance is a given and a data processing agreement (DPA) is always supplied as part of the contract documents.

Content creation and translation are, by their very nature, an international endeavor. All subcontractors are bound by a non-disclosure agreement and DPA, while our partners outside the EU must also agree to EU standard contractual clauses.

Is Greatcontent certified to ISO 27001?

What is an ISMS, and why is it relevant to me as a customer?

An information security management system defines who is responsible for which information security tasks, how risks are assessed, and what protective measures apply. It means you can rest assured that your content is handled according to clear, verifiable rules and nothing is left to chance.

Where is my data stored?

We store all data exclusively within the EU. When using linguists outside the EU, we strictly adhere to the requirements of the GDPR.

Do Greatcontent’s business activities comply with the GDPR?

Yes. Compliance with the GDPR is an integral part of our processes. A data processing agreement (DPA) is included as part of the contract documents.

How are freelance translators and copywriters bound to maintain confidentiality?

All subcontractors are bound by a non-disclosure agreement and a DPA.

What happens if partners from outside the EU are working on my project?

We have added what are known as EU standard contractual clauses to our contracts with partners outside the EU in addition to the NDA and DPA. This means that they, too, are subject to a level of data protection that meets European requirements.
